Masai Mara National Reserve is a very popular safari destination in Kenya, if not the most. An enormous amount of wildlife can be seen here. Cheetahs and leopards are not uncommon, and elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, giraffes and baboons abound. The reserve is the location of the annual migration of up to 2 million wildebeest (July to October), considered one of the most amazing natural spectacles in the world. The land is the ancestral home of the Masai people who have largely retained their traditional tribal way of life and will entertain visitors with displays of tribal dancing and ceremonies. Many Masai are employed as safari tour guides.

Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara Following breakfast you will tour through the capital Nairobi. You will tour Uhuru Park, CityPark, Nairobi Arboretum, Jeevanjee Gardens and Central Park in which the memorial of Jomo Kenyatta is located. Have lunch and continue to Masai Mara Game Reserve which is approximately 300km away. Dine and sleep at Mara Sarova Camp or Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Wildlife Viewing You will have an entire day while viewing game in the reserve. On its plains you will view zebra, topi, gazelle, impala and giraffes.  Additionally you will view leopards, hyenas, jackal, bat eared foxes, lions and cheetah. The shy black rhinos are hard to see and can only be cited at from a distance. The River Mara has numerous rhinos and big Nile crocodiles which rest waiting to feast on the wildebeests that cross the river annually as they search for fresh pastures.
