Ruboni Cultural Site (Nyakalengija–Rwenzori Mountain)
At the slopes of mountain Rwenzori is the Bakonzo community. The occupants of the hills sarounding this mountain found in Kasese District in Bugoye sub county 17km from the main tarmac road that thus Kasese to fort portal ( Kabarole District) . The cultural visits around involves Nyambow hill climbing , which is about 2000m high and involves going up to the top where on a clear day you will see the Margherita peak , there is also camping on the hill for the night. There is also a provision of a forest walk which is mainly done around the Buroro hill which is about 1,500m high which will take you 3-4 hour.
Village walk is exciting and an adventure worthy to explore, you will meet the local median man, the traditional healer, the crafts man, the story teller, farmers, and the Bakonzo cultural dancers visit some homes reads for day activities like fetching water with a rope around their heads.
